“We want to challenge and change the way people buy and sell because we know there is a better way,” said Amanda Ernst, co-founder & CEO of Duriana. The app is on a mission to make buying and selling simpler and safer and crafting the way we look for pre-loved items a unique experience of discovery. That means that anyone can easily list items for sale and anyone can have the trust and confidence to buy through the platform, without the hassle of meeting up. We feel that if we can transform the chore of reselling the things you love into a simple and social experience, we can unlock a lot of fashion and lifestyle items that are in people’s homes and not found on traditional buy/sell spaces.
The app lets youm list your items in seconds by snapping a picture and adding a few details. You can then chat with each other in the app to finalize the deal and choose to pay through Duriana and have the item shipped or arrange a meet up. Duriana also has a social element, where sellers are able to customize their page and build following on the app. They can also seamlessly share items they sell or like to their favourite social media platform such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Users can choose to like items and follow their friends or other people who share similar interests and style.
Users in Philippines have been actively listings items for sale since July 2015 and Duriana has been on the ground interacting with users and tastemakers through collaborations with local bazaars and events held here throughout the first half of this year. We are excited to be creating a vibrant community where people can connect and share their love for lifestyle and fashion.
