Meralco shares its consumer-education program Orange Tag with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Through the Orange Tag, Meralco educates customers on the cost of operating their appliances. During the meeting with DTI, the country’s national consumer protection agency, Meralco explained how the Orange Tag campaign shows consumers how much the most commonly used appliances at home cost a household per use, per hour, or per day. The Orange Tag initiative is part of Meralco’s continuous effort to educate its customers on energy efficiency to empower them and help them make more informed choices. And with the insights of DTI, consumers are assured that their interests are prioritized and protected.
