Manila Doctors Hospital conducted the second leg of Share the Gift of Vision




Manila Doctors Hospital, one of the leading centers of health and wellness in the Philippines, is a private tertiary hospital, owned by Manila Medical Services Inc., MDH is the healthcare affiliate of Metrobank Foundation Inc, the corporate social responsibility arm of the Metrobank. Every year, Manila Doctors Hospital (MDH) helps create a path to happiness by ending the leading cause of reversible blindness and poor eyesight, Cataract.

Share the Gift of Vision (STGOV), a program which entails free surgery for the removal of cataract with free intraocular lens, in cooperation with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Metrobank Foundation Inc. This surgical mission last June 5, provides quality cataract operations and health management to indigent patients.STGOV.was conducted thrice a year through the help of institutions and partnerships that share the same passion of helping the underprivileged.  STGOV is one of the five major CSR programs of MDH.

The program benefited 20 indigent patients, convened by devotion and vision of reaching out to patients with no access to treatment and resources, the Department of Ophthalmology, attended by Dr. Cesar Espiritu, Dr. Manuel Delfin, Dr. Terrence Cham, Dr. Karen Lee-Ong, Dr. Ezekiel Sy, Dr. Alfred Martinez, Dr. Joana Ver, Dr. Cecil Ver, Dr. Paolo Delos Santos, Dr. JC Catbagan together with MDH Residents Dr. Ian Daguman, Dr. Ralph Geronimo, Dr. Elizabeth Giller, Dr. Charles Mesina, Dr. Patricia Tacata, Dr. Jesse Lu, and Dr. Erika Salvame took part in the said mission.
